LI – Lifespan Integration

Lindsay completed advanced LI training with its originator Peggy Pace, and is listed on the Lifespan Integration Therapist Directory.

Lifespan Integration is a gentle, body-based therapeutic method that relies on the innate ability of the body-mind to heal itself without re-traumatisation.

Some interventions heal birth and/or pre-verbal trauma, others heal attachment deficits. If client’s problems are associated with past experiences, the LI ‘standard protocol’ can be used to guide clients to imaginally revisit past experiences to provide information, support, comfort, or advocacy for their younger self. When the memory is resolved, the therapist leads the client through time to the present using repeated chronological sequencing of visual images and scenes from the client’s life. This ‘Timeline’ of memories and images proves to the client’s body-mind system that time has passed and that life is different now. This “proof” occurs at a deeper level than is generally possible with talk therapy methods.
