DBR – Deep Brain Reorienting

Lindsay has completed DBR training levels I-III with Dr Frank Corrigan,
‘Developmental Trauma and Early Life Shock’ with Jessica Christie-Sands, and DBR-AT Interweaves with Martin Warner

Deep Brain Reorienting was developed for the treatment of attachment shock and disruption and can be effectively used to support processing of other unresolved traumatic experiences.

DBR is a is a gentle, body-led process that aims to unblock natural healing processes by identifying and tracking original physiological sequential responses that occurred when the deep brain was first alerted to threat, shock or attachment rupture.  Its use may be indicated when past traumatic events continue to have an impact, showing up in clinically significant symptoms.

Rather than working with the story of trauma, DBR begins with the brainstem-based alarm system, the initial tension and ensuing orienting, affective (emotional) and defensive responses that occur in the milliseconds before the nervous system reacts to perceive threat.
